After graduating from The University of Auckland, Bhavik came to us as one of our resident Accounting tutors where he amazes both his students and colleagues with his huge range of knowledge. Bhavik has been with us for two years and we’re still trying to find a topic that he’s not an expert in. So far we know he’s a pro at web development, IT, simulation racing, and guitar, so who knows what other talents he’s hiding from us. While tutoring, Bhavik loves that every student is unique which means he can tailor his tutoring style to each one. He says its especially rewarding when he sees a less confident student develop over the course of their learning.

Rachel has over 20 years’ experience in the animal industry. She has owned her own grooming and training business and worked in a number of veterinary clinics. Her passion for animals is undeniable and she volunteers her time fostering and training for animal rescue charities and shelters. She has trained and been a mentor for many people who wished to work in the animal industry. Rachel is all about positive handling techniques and loves to see people succeed and follow their passion for working with animals.

Sarah Tottle is a trained business psychologist, and a member of the Accredited Counsellors, Coaches, Psychotherapists & Clinical Hypnotherapists (ACCPH) association. Sarah is an international writer and her psychology research has been published in high profile magazines such as CEO magazine, World Economic Forum, and other business magazines. She is an organisational trainer, and has coached and counselled individuals and groups in both the public and third sector. She is currently completing her PhD.

M. E.  is a dedicated tutor at TCA, bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience in both Financial and Managerial Accounting, supported by her CMA and CPA certifications. She is deeply committed to transforming accounting into an engaging and enjoyable subject, using her expertise to make complex concepts accessible and exciting for her students. In addition to her accounting prowess, M. E. has a rich background in the real estate industry as an appraiser, further broadening her professional scope. Her passion for learning and discovery extends beyond the classroom; she loves traveling, meeting new people, and immersing herself in diverse experiences. Her dedication to student success transforms learning into a collaborative journey, guiding each student toward their highest achievements.

As the Accounting & Bookkeeping Tutor at The Career Academy, Erika is responsible for supporting and assessing student’s education in gaining competency in the accounting and management field. The Career Academy’s vision is to deliver an exceptional online experience, and she contributes to this by offering student support while fostering positive, harmonious relationships. She is driven by a passion for continuous learning and a desire to make a difference. She loves impactful work, especially when it involves sharing her knowledge and experience with others. She earned a bachelor’s degree in accountancy in the Philippines and obtained my License as a Certified Public Accountant. In my downtime, I immerse myself in the enchanting worlds of fantasy novels, losing myself in captivating tales and magical realms.

Ali is an Accounting tutor at TCA with a master’s in professional accounting (MPA) and is a member of CPA. With his previous experience as an Accountant working with a ASX50 organization, he brings in wealth of knowledge and understands the skills required to succeed in the corporate world. His passion for education and desire to bring in a positive change to support community aligns well with the careers’ academy vision of empowering students to succeed in their careers by giving them the outstanding learning experience. He got 3 years of experience working in hospitality industry and managed a cake shop in Brisbane, QLD; This experience has developed his customer service skills and assists him in building a strong rapport with the students.

A competent Certified Public Accountant (CPA) who is currently shaping minds as an Accounting and Bookkeeping Tutor at TCA. He is more than willing to help students in their studies as they go through a journey of acquiring new skills, exploring uncharted territories of knowledge, and building improved career pathways. His reliability is not just built on continuous professional development in the field of accounting and bookkeeping but also founded on values of empathy, patience, and genuine enthusiasm to help students.

Saharah radiates positivity and charm with her naturally bubbly personality and effortlessly light-hearted approach. With a found appreciation for knowledge and education, viewing them as essential pillars of personal and professional development. Saharah's dedication to staying informed and cultivating a well-rounded perspective not only enriches her own life but also positively influences those around them, fostering a culture of curiosity and intellectual exploration.

With a Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Gracezel has cultivated a diverse and dynamic career in the finance sector. From roles as a Finance Business Analyst and A/R Associate, she has gained extensive experience managing financial operations and optimizing business processes. During the pandemic, Gracezel pivoted to teaching, sharing her expertise in basic accounting with college students. This transition was driven by her deep passion for education and her commitment to making a positive impact on students' futures, helping them achieve their career goals. In addition to professional achievements, Gracezel is a dedicated first-time mom and an enthusiastic small business owner, balancing the demands of entrepreneurship with the joys of family life. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, unwinding with Netflix, and exploring new destinations through travel, finding inspiration and relaxation in these diverse interests. Fuelled by a love for teaching and a commitment to personal and professional growth, Gracezel continues to inspire and support those around them while embracing the rich tapestry of life’s experiences.

Dana graduated with a Master of Science in Psychology. Her research focuses on attention, cognitive control, and visual perspective-taking using methods such as VR, hand-tracking, and eye-tracking. Dana also worked as a graduate teaching assistant at a local University for several courses in psychology. With a deep passion for both teaching and psychology, Dana is dedicated to developing educational experiences that are both supportive and enriching. In her spare time, Dana enjoys watching movies with her beautiful cat and partner.

Rita is a Psychology, Administration & Management Tutor with a bachelor's in psychology. She has worked in administrative roles and as a behavioural therapist, along with over 5 years of experience working as a tutor. These experiences enable Rita to support students' learning and assist them to achieve their career goals and gain new opportunities. Outside of work, Rita enjoys spending time with her dogs, hiking, traveling, and watching films and shows.

Ryan is an Accounting Tutor at TCA with a Bachelors’ in Accounting and Economics. Ryan enjoys inspiring students and loves passing on his knowledge of Accounting. Many years of education have taught him that every student learns differently, which puts him in an excellent position to tailor his teaching for an exciting student learning experience. Besides Accounting, Ryan loves traveling and watching Premier League football, as he was a football player in his school days. Ryan loves helping people achieve their goals and success in their career.

Anna is a Tutor at The Career Academy and has a strong background in hands-on accounting and bookkeeping after several years working in this area. Stephanie completed her Bachelor of Business (Marketing/Event Management) from La Trobe University in Melbourne. Before joining The Career Academy, Stephanie received 5+ years of Reception and Administration experience, with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office and administrative skills. With her experience and expertise, Stephanie started her journey as an Administration, Management, and MS tutor at The Career Academy. As an educator, Stephanie is passionate about assisting each of her students to reach their full potential and seeing her students achieve their career goals and new opportunities.

Amoré is an Administration, Management & Microsoft Office tutor who works with The Career Academy to help students achieve their career goals. Amoré has a Bachelor of Arts Degree specialising in Psychology, English and a Certificate in Language Teaching (CELTA), along with many years of working within the administration and education field. These qualifications coupled with years of experience in various industries enables Amoré to provide the best education experience for her students. When Amoré isn’t helping students to achieve the very best out of their studies, she enjoys travelling with friends , yoga, and creating artwork in her free time.

Nick is a passionate Administration, Management, and MS Office Tutor, coming from a background of studying Criminology and Sociology. This was followed by years of experience in Administration roles based in many departments across an array of industries, before coming to TCA. With a passion for helping people, Nick likes to use his experience from these roles to help make a difference for students, assisting them on their road to upskilling towards a new role or career, and reaching their goals. Away from work, Nick unwinds with his passions for sport, film, cooking, and music.

Jessica graduated with a bachelor’s degree in health science majoring in Psychology. She has a passion for helping others, which has seen her work in varying roles, including as a health care assistant, telehealth advisor and now in education, helping students to achieve their academic goals. The highlight of her role is getting to chat about psychology everyday with students!! Outside of work, you can find Jessica hanging out with her horses, on an epic outdoor adventure or with my nose in a novel.

The opportunity to support and guide students who share the same interest in Psychology is what Angie loves about being a tutor at TCA. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Psychology, and a minor in Social Sciences. Whilst studying, she spent her time in customer service, and youth work in churches and the local community. She worked six years in the health industry alongside Speech Language Therapy in a brain injury rehabilitation that piqued her interest in the direction of education. The more we understand psychology, the better equipped we are in an evolving world. She has two young children who keep her on my toes and enjoys travelling both locally and overseas, immersing herself in new environments – what doesn’t challenge you, won’t help you grow!

Tracey is a people person with impressive juggling skills. Like many of The Career Academy’s students, she’s a working mum balancing her job and her family. In her previous role as an office manager at one of Lion Nathan’s Auckland establishments for seven years, she was responsible for all manner of financial duties (incl. payroll, and accounts payable & receivable.) She later backed up these skills with a Bachelor of Business from Massey. Although she’s a proficient “number cruncher” it’s working with her students which Tracey enjoys the most. Seeing when a student really “gets it,” when their confidence soars or when they’re able to secure that new role – these are things that she loves.

I obtained a Bachelor of Business Studies majoring in Accounting from Waikato Institute of Technology. During my time studying, I mentored several international students in a range of topics including commercial law, marketing, accounting & finance. Not only did this give me lots of energy watching my students grow, it also deepened my understanding of these topics as well as how to relate to people. It is no surprise that I came to The Career Academy – with a teacher for a mother, it’s just in my blood. Outside of work, I like to relax by playing football with my teenage sons, dance to Baila music, read, or cook delicious meals with my wife.

Kelly graduated with a Bachelor of Arts major in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL), and a minor in Linguistics and Chinese at Victoria University of Wellington. She engages well with students from different age groups, backgrounds, and cultures. Her past experiences in working with students involved being a junior class mentor in College, a campus coach/student ambassador at University, participating in cultural clubs, and teaching dance (which is one of her hobbies!) Kelly has joined The Career Academy in 2020 as a tutor to build her career and experiences. She confidently says this: “I am grateful to be a part of a positive company with core values that I align with. It is amazing to get to interact with a variety of students. Being a tutor for me is not just about getting the work done, but ensuring that I do my best to help someone – whether it may be easy or difficult. At the end of my day, it makes me happy knowing that I have helped a student.”
