What support will I get from my tutor?

How do I enrol in a course?

Click the ‘Get Started Now’ button on the course page. You can then pay via credit card or an interest free payment plan. Once you have enrolled, within one working day you will receive a welcome email from your tutor and your login details.

What qualification will I get?

You’ll receive a certificate of achievement on successful completion of your course. The Career Academy courses meet the standards required by industry and your qualification will be recognised by employers across Australia. We are an Industry Approved Training Organisation. You will receive your certificate upon completion of your course. If you are on a payment plan, you will receive your certificate once your final payment has been made.

What happens if I start the course and then change my mind?

You've got a 14 day cancellation or trial period (beginning from your welcome email being sent out). Take the time to look through all your learning material and get a feel for online learning. If you still decide the course isn't for you within this trial period and you wish to cancel, please submit a cancellation request using the online form HERE Notification of your cancellation request will not be processed if submitted via phone, text or email. Cancellation forms submitted within this 14 day cancellation period will be entitled to a full money back guarantee!

Is The Career Academy Internationally Recognised and Approved?

Yes – The Career Academy Australia is Internationally Approved and Registered by IARC.

Can you help me get a job?

Yes – employers constantly approach The Career Academy looking for students and employers also advertise for jobs on The Career Academy Job Centre (available on Totara once you enrol). Check out our Job Ready Program!

How do the assessments work?

Assignments are open book and a combination of multi-choice, short answer questions and case studies. Once you’ve completed your assessment, simply upload it for marking. Your tutor will review and mark your assignments, usually within two working days.

How does online learning work?

Your course will be delivered by Totara. You can access Totara from any web browser so you can work whenever and where ever you have time. You can also interact with your tutors and other students in the Totara environment. Online learning allows you to make the best use of your time and puts all the resources you need at your finger tips. There are no set course start dates, you can start when ever you are ready.

Your tutors will check in on your progress and you do need to set up time to do your work. Most of The Career Academy courses are designed so that you do one module a week. But if life gets busy you can take longer, or if you have time you can do more than one module a week.

What support will I get?

You will be assigned a qualified and experienced tutor to provide assistance. You can email your tutor at any time or phone during business hours. Any queries will be responded to within one working day. Some Certificate courses have optional online student study groups. You will be placed in a study group with other students completing the same course as you which will enable you to connect, interact and share experiences. Study groups are limited in size to ensure individual attention and easy interaction with other students.

Refund Policy – What happens if I want to cancel?

Students are deemed to be enrolled in a course when they have completed their student declaration and their welcome email has been sent out. Students are encouraged to read the Career Academy Student Policy online to ensure that they are aware of their rights and responsibilities as a student with the Academy. If a student fails to read their student policy in a satisfactory time or wishes to cancel before their student declaration has been signed their enrolment can be cancelled without any charge. Cancellations within 14 business days of your log in email being sent out will be entitled to a full refund (if a full payment student), or less the non-refundable establishment fee (if on an interest free payment plan). Refunds will only be processed on the 20th of the month. If you cancel after this time, you will be liable to pay the full amount outstanding. Requests for course cancellations must be made by filling in this online form.
